Leitax-1

This is the Leitz Macro Elmarit 60mm R-cam version,
Leitax-2

As you can see here, there is only the R-cam , the black one with stepped shape.

This lens black shroud is different from the ones we have done before, so we cannot remove the mount like the other versions.

Leitax-3

We have to remove shroud and mount together.

First, rotate the aperture ring until it coincides with this cut on the shroud.

Leitax-4

Now, remove the six screws of the Leica-R mount
.

And rotate the focus ring putting the lens group away from the mount
.
Leitax-6

Now, using two plastic tools, force the mount away from the lens barrel, don't be afraid of breaking anything....
Leitax-7

.... because the black shroud internal side is very flexible, as you can see in the picture.
Leitax-8

Ok, now we can see where the small ball is. It is  important in the previous step not to introduce the plastic tools near where the ball is.

Leitax-9

So the lens is ready to use the Leitax mount.
Leitax-10

Just put it on top of the lens barrel and screw it.
Leitax-11

The Macro-Elmarit is ready to be used on our modern cameras.
