This is the Leica-R Vario-Elmar 35-70/3.5 3 cams lens.

Thanks to our client and friend Massimiliano, we all can share this conversion instructions.

The bayonet side.....

as you can see, it is a 3-cams lens.

3

First, unscrew the black shroud and remove it (it's made of plastic so
there isn't any risk of scratching something). Then remove the bayonet.

4

Next remove the cams
5

The cams and the shroud removed.

In fact, there is no need to remove the black R-cam and its spacers.

5

Remove the screw , the spring and the aperture lever.
6

The aperture lever support  will touch the bayonet
7

The solution is to shave the bayonet part that touches the aperture
lever with a small and round file.

8

When the aperture lever moves free from obstacles we can install the
bayonet.

The red dot goes near the scale center.

I wish to thank again Massimiliano for the picture series of this conversion work.
