This
is the Leica R to M mount, it comes with the necessary screws. Caution! The following lenses use screws of different diameter, so the standard diameter screws provided with my bayonet will not work. Please let me know if you want to use one of these lenses and I will send you additional thinner screws. -Summilux 50/1.4 E60 |
|
We have to remove the screws of the Leica-R mount.
I leave in place the screw on the bottom, this way there is no risk that the R-mount can move accidentally from its place.
Most lenses with ten screws have four longer extra screws that will hold the mount even removing the six shorter standard ones. Caution! the Vario-Zoom lenses 28-90mm and 21-35mm will need special screws but only used on the four extra positions of the mount, because in these two lenses, the shorter screws are at these four extra positions. Please ask for the special thinner screws if you plan to convert these two lenses. |
|
Now put the Leitax mount on top of the original R mount.
And turn the provided screws attaching the Leitax mount to the lens.
The R lens is ready to be used on a M camera.
The Leitax mount has recessed grooves and we can paint the appropriate lens code on them.
And the focal length is read by the camera.
Ready to take pictures with the Leica-R lens solidly attached to the camera.
