Here you have the instructions for the Zeiss/Contax Mutar III , for the Mutar II , please follow this link
This is the Carl Zeiss Mutar III 1.4x teleconverter. |
First, unscrew the rear mount. |
And remove it. |
Now remove these four screws. |
So you can lift the entire optical group. |
And remove the two levers facing the rear side from it. |
We have to remove this one too. |
There is a spring that we have to unwrap from this screw. |
Ok, free. |
Now we can unscrew that lever. |
Done, please save all the levers and screws to be able to rebuild this lens to the original condition. |
Put the optical group in its place and screw it. |
Now we can install the Leitax M42 mount . |
And you can use any M42 adapter for your camera. |
And the Mutar III is ready to work with a selection of Contax lenses. |
Like the Sonnar 180/2.8. |
On Pentax cameras, we can set the focal length so the anti shake will work properly 180x1.4=252mm. |
You can buy this M42 mount for your Mutar III in the Leitax website
