This is the current version of the Elmarit 28/2.8 Perhaps, the best 28mm ever made. |
This unit is a 3cams model. |
First, unscrew the black shroud screws |
Now lift this side of the shroud with the plastic tool. |
This way, it can be removed |
Unscrew the bayonet, remove it and search for the small ball. |
This time, it remains stuck to its place. |
Remove the small bearing ball to keep it in secure place, the best
way to do it is to use the screwdriver point with some grease on it. And now remove the two clear metal cams. In general, if you have a ROM model, there is no need to remove anything. But sometimes a ROM lens can have a slopped cam like the one in the picture that must be removed. |
This is what must be removed.. |
Now, fill the ball bearing hole with some grease and place the ball on it. |
Here you can see the small ball in its place and well greased.
Time to install the new Leitax bayonet. Remember to screw it in a cross pattern and tighten the screws little by little one after another.
Now we can use this lens on Pentax and Nikon bodies. Thanks to YDO SOL IMAGES for this great picture
