This is the Leitz Macro Elmarit 60mm R-cam version, |

As you can see here, there is only the R-cam , the black one with stepped shape. This lens black shroud is different from the ones we have done before, so we cannot remove the mount like the other versions. |

We have to remove shroud and mount together. First, rotate the aperture ring until it coincides with this cut on the shroud. |
|
Now, remove the six screws of the Leica-R mount. |
|
And rotate the focus ring putting the lens group away from the mount. |
|
Now, using two plastic tools, force the mount away from the lens barrel, don't be afraid of breaking anything.... |
|
.... because the black shroud internal side is very flexible, as you can see in the picture. |
|
Ok, now we can see where the small ball is. It is important in the previous step not to introduce the plastic tools near where the ball is. |
|
So the lens is ready to use the Leitax mount. |
|
Just put it on top of the lens barrel and screw it. |
|
The Macro-Elmarit is ready to be used on our modern cameras. |
