This lens is the highly appreciated APO-Telyt 180mm. Thanks to loan from a customer we tested the lens and wrote below instructions. |
It is a 3 cams lens. |
First, remove the bayonet screws. |
The bayonet can be removed just lifting it. NEW! With the new Leitax mount model, you can reuse the black tube to avoid flares, take a look here. |
Check the position of the bearing ball, it our case it remained stuck to the bayonet. |
Now remove the two clear metal cams. |
Cams removed. |
Put some grease onto the hole with spring where the ball goes. |
Now install the ball onto its place, it will remain there stuck with grease. |
The small ball on its proper place. |
Install the Leica-Pentax or the Leica-Nikon bayonet, the red dot in front the scale center. The Leica-Nikon bayonet has the red dot slightly more to the right than the one at the picture. |
Screw the Leitax bayonet, a small turn after another, in cross pattern. |
Now the APO-Telyt is ready for your Pentax or Nikon camera. I would like to thank again our customer and friend Vincent for the temporal cession of this magnificent lens. | |
