This is the Elmar 180/4  3-cams.

We can take a look at this lens conversion thanks to our friend Karsten, who took these pictures for us all.
2

First, remove the bayonet screws.
3

Now lift the bayonet vertically, in case the black shroud doesn't allow to remove the bayonet, you'd need to remove it first.
4

Look for the small ball and save it for now.

The best way is to take it with a greased tip, not the tweezers.
5

Parts removed.

NEW!
With the new Leitax mount model, you can reuse the black tube to avoid flares, take a look here.

6

Unscrew and remove the first clear metal cam and its shims if there is any under it.
7

Now the second cam, here the shims are secured by the third cam, that must not be removed..
8

Now we can replace the small ball at its place and leave a little bit of special grease on it.
9

Install the Leitax bayonet.

The Leica-Nikon bayonet has the red dot slightly  to the right from the scale center.
10

And replace the six screws, not too tight.
12

So we can use this excellent Leica lens on our modern cameras

This is the first picture that Karsten took with this lens on his D700.

I would like to thank again Karsten for his great picture series.
