This is the Elmarit 28mm 3 cams version. |
Here you can see the three cams. |
First, unscrew the black shroud screws |
Now lift this side of the shroud. |
This way, it can be removed |
Unscrew the bayonet, remove it and search for the small ball. |
This time, it remains sticked to the bayonet. |
Now, we have to unscrew the two clear metal cams. |
These are the two removed cams and the spacer that gets unattached. |
Return the small ball to its place, and leave some special grease on it. |
Install the Leica-Pentax or the Leica-Nikon bayonet, the red dot in front the scale center. The Leica-Nikon bayonet has the red dot slightly more to the right than the one at the picture. |
Our Pentax camera ready with a Leica Elmarit. |
Wait a moment, the lens is perfectly set to twelve o'clock. |
But it shows the hood twisted in respect the camera, and this kind of hood is fixed, you cannot rotate it. It is only an aesthetic problem, buy I'm not happy about it. |
There are 3 really tiny screw around the hood : by unscrewing them, the square part of the hood can rotate freely and then be aligned perfectly . |
Ok, much better now, the hood looks straight. |
