This lens is very interesting, from number 2517857, the second version of Elmarit 35mm has the same optics than the third version |
This is a 2 cams model, first we need to remove the shroud's black screws. |
Now, the bayonet screws. |
Lift this side of the shroud. |
This way, it can be removed. To remove the black shroud easily, first turn the aperture ring to F22 and the focus ring to 0.3 meters. |
Remove the bayonet and search for the small ball, here it was on its place. |
Put the small ball in safe place for now. |
The 2 cams are identical, so we need to mark them and take a picture for the position before removal, and save them apart with their own spacers. This only happens in 2 cams lenses. |
Now its safe to remove the cams. Yes, I know, the picture was taken before I numbered them. |
Remove them. |
This is what is removed. Please save them apart, perhaps we'll have to rebuild the lens exactly as it was. |
Now we can replace the small ball, and leave a bit of special grease with it. |
Install the Leica-Pentax or the Leica-Nikon bayonet, the red dot in front the scale center. The Leica-Nikon bayonet has the red dot slightly more to the right than the one at the picture. |
The lens is ready to shoot on a Pentax or Nikon Camera. |
