Welcome to Leitax, this is our Leica M for Sony-E cameras page. After several requests from our clients, we decided to design a mount for the Sony-E mirrorless cameras with the same features that our previous models.

Our clients asked to solve the problems that the traditional adapters have. They wanted a rock-solid, screw-on mount solution, no matter the weight of the lens. Just like our popular  Leica-Canon model. 

1-- the mount is completely rigid with no play.
2-- It is possible to install the Leica M lenses rotated 90 degrees for cine.

Leica M straight

The Leitax mount will be screwed on top of the Leica M original mount. This way, even the heaviest lens will be as rigid on your camera as any native mount lens. The mount is made in one piece and the mechanical precision is not compromised.

The Leica M lenses will focus to infinity and will maintain the aperture click stops.

Leica M at 90 degrees

The Leitax mount fits perfectly on top of the original Leica M bayonet. We provide new longer screws to attach solidly our mount on the Leica M lens.

In this picture, we show how the Leitax mount allows the cinema operators to have the Leica M lenses rotated 90 degrees.


- The registered mail service is reliable but the delivery time is not very fast or even regular. If you need the Leitax mounts fast or you have a deadline I'd recommend the  courier option.

SonyE-mount, no adapter This is the Leitax Sony-E mount for Leica M lenses.

Also included the necessary screws and parts.

I use this model for the Phillips screws on the lenses, it is industrial grade quality made by Irazola, and the design is very good, you can push and turn it firmly with the rotary end and the rubber finish.
