We sell adapters to use lenses with a Canon mount on Cinema cameras

Welcome to Leitax, this is our page for articles related with cinema cameras.

One of my clients is a Director of Photography who works with Leica-R lenses. Using the Leitax mount, he was very happy to solve the problem of excessive play that the normal Leica-Canon adapters produce.

But this was only half of his problem, the Leitax mount is solidly screwed to the Leica lens, no play is possible. But he still had to use an adapter to put the now Canon mount lenses on his RED ONE camera, and that adapter also has some play.

So he asked me to make a RED-Canon adapter with no play, as good as the PL mount, which the film makers are accustomed to. 

And here it is, our mount uses a new and original  ( patent pending ) screwing system to attach the lens solidly to the camera. 

The Leitax Canon mount has these characteristics:

-- The Canon mount lenses will be solid on a Cinema Camera
-- Changing lenses will not change the register distance of the Leitax mount.
-- The design is modular, you could use parts of it for other camera adapters that will be released in the future.

To use a Canon mount lens on a RED ONE camera, you will need the first three items:

RE ONE base ring This is the base ring for RED ONE cameras.

Also included the necessary screws

You will be able to use it for other lenses mounts in the future.
