Here we sell Leitax mounts to use Contax lenses on Sony-E cameras
Welcome to Leitax, this is our Contax for Sony-E cameras page. After several requests from our clients, we decided to design a mount for the Sony-E mirrorless cameras with the same features that our previous models.
Our clients asked to solve the problems that the traditional adapters have. They wanted a rock-solid, screw-on mount solution, no matter the weight of the lens. Just like our popular Leica-Canon model.
Regarding the normal adapters, complains are mostly for their usual poor slot-spring solution to hold the Contax lenses against the adapter. This is not good because the tension of the mount is usually made by wedging a soft metal with a slot. The slot will deform but will not bounce back to shape. Over time those adapters will be loose fitting and the lens will tilt, specially heavier lenses. Another problem is the lens play that normal adapters usually have.
The Leitax mount will be screwed on top of the Contax original mount. This way, even the heaviest Contax lens will be as rigid on your camera as any native mount lens. The mount is made in one piece and the mechanical precision is not compromised.
The Contax lenses will focus to infinity and will maintain the aperture click stops.

The Leitax mount fits perfectly on top of the original Contax bayonet. We provide four new longer screws to attach solidly our mount on the Contax lens. In this picture, we show how the Leitax mount allows the cinema operators to have the Contax lenses rotated 90 degrees.
